Private House

MORRO DE SÃO PAULO, BRASIL 2002 - 2004

The house is located on the Atlantic coast in Brazil, in a “Fazenda di Coco”, on the island of Tinharé in the state of Bahia.

It was conceived so that the heart of the house was a large common space with a strong integration between inside and outside, surrounded by arcaded terraces that protect from the intense sun present almost all year round, and from the short rainy season, creating different spaces of coexistence outdoors and easy to circulate.

The bedrooms are located along two sides, open onto the arcaded terraces and overlook the garden and the sea.

Two identical units were built between sea, sand and the coconut plantation, using the local construction technique with wooden structure, with materials coming from the vicinity.
